So, I wanted to know what it was. This book devotes an entire section to Amigurumi; which is a type of crochet that is said to have originated in Japan. Ami means knitting or yarn that has been crocheted, while the entire word amigurumi, means a doll that has been stuffed. So, amigurumi; is when someone is making a stuffed doll using heavy yarn. Fan items and large novelty cushions, as well as homewares can be made using this technique as well. So, I think I am definitely adding amigurumi to my list of crochet crafts.
